We found this balloon ride on GetYourGuide website... some of the reviews had us a bit nervous at first... I then realized people were upset because they didnt get the ride when they wanted. Balloons can be temperamental and DANGEROUS if the weather isnt perfect for it. I believe some of the bad reviews were because people didnt understand this.
Furthermore, our balloon operator, Borah was amazing !! He flew us all over high and low and did an all around amazing job!
If your wondering if it is worth the $$ ABSOLUTELY . Do not hesitate, boom it ! This made our entire trip to Turkey !

Incredible, could not recommend more! Had an amazing time in the air and felt extremely safe. Erman was a great pilot who took us on a tour of Cappadocia through the valleys and past Uchisar Castle. Most balloons went straight up and down whilst we got an extensive experience!!

Absolutely zero complaints about this awesome experience! It was our first time going in a hot air balloon and so glad we did it in the wonderful Cappadocia area where we can see the fairy chimneys and Love Valley and much more!
A comfortable van came to pick us up at our hotel in Uchisar at 3:55 AM on the dot. Then it went to pick up several other groups before we got to the balloon launch point. There was a cake and coffee and tea available while we waited for the balloon to be ready. We all hopped into the basket. Not too crowded and we got our own section space. My daughter (7.5 years old) loved the whole trip from start to finish and was just tall enough to see over the basket. We were able to catch the sun rising over the horizon as it lit up the valley. The landing was interesting. We ended up landing on the truckbed and then climbed down from there. Then we had a champagne toast (nonalcoholic). Ended up back at hotel around 6:35am and took a nap.
Highly recommend this company. We ended up booking through the hotel when we checked in. About 150 euros per person (child is full price). Such a great deal compared to other balloon places we’ve looked at in California.
Much appreciate the efforts of the whole hot air balloon crew! Looks like such an ordeal to get the balloon into the air and to land.

An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. We booked through Viator so did not know which company we would end up flying with but we would give Universal 5 stars. We were picked up on time and had a short journey to the take off point. The Pilot, Assistant and Crew were excellent, all smiling throughout with a good sense of humour. They were patient with us getting in and out of the basket (which was the bit that worried me the most). The briefing was well done and clear. The Pilot was incredibly skilled and at not one point did we feel nervous. The Assistant offered to take out photo numerous times on our camera which was very kind. The views were incredible, and it was so calm and peaceful. We landed to a reception of fruit fizz which was a nice end to the morning.

Overpriced but a great experience. The views were spectacular. The only downside was that we didn’t make it up before sunrise to see the transition from dark to light, even though I stayed close to the take-off point at Ciner Hotel. That's why I'm not giving 5 stars.
My pickup time was 6:20 am, with sunrise at 7:10 am. Even though everyone was either on time or early, it was already light by the time we arrived at the spot. We took off at 7:20 am and landed at 8:27 am, exactly one hour as promised. Despite missing the light transition, the flight over the Chimney and Love Valleys was breathtaking, with a maximum altitude of 1.4 km and close passes through the valleys.
We were also offered tea, coffee, and chocolate cake before take-off, and non-alcoholic champagne at the end.
Special thanks to our balloon operator, Gökhan İKİZOĞLU, whose skillful maneuvers, experience, and personal charisma made the flight truly unforgettable.

Nosso grupo foi um dos últimos a sair. O nascer do sol já tinha acontecido e nós estávamos esperando o balão encher, enquanto os outros balões já estavam no ar. O passeio foi quase mais na vertical do que na horizontal. Subimos até uma grande altura, onde tinha pouco vento para ficarmos parados, e descemos quase no mesmo lugar.
Kapadokya'ya gelip te balon turu yapmamak olmaz. Ancak fiyatların sabit olmadığını bilmenizde fayda var. Kim ne tutturursa, o fiyattan satıyor. Üstelik nakit ödemenizi canla başla isterlerken, kartla ödeme fikrine pek de sıcak bakmıyorlar (muhtemelen vergilerden kaçmak için, kim bilir?). Uçuşumuz fena sayılmazdı, manzara zaten müthiş. Ama açıkçası hangi firmayla uçtuğunuz pek fark etmiyor, sonuçta aynı manzaraya bakıyorsunuz.
Tabii, uçuş sırasında çekilen fotoğrafları da cömertçe (!) fiyata dahil etmiyorlar, ayrıca satıyorlar. Yani o anların hatırası için ekstra ödeme yapmanız şart. Ama durun, en komiği ne biliyor musunuz? Uçuş sonunda “şampanya” seremonisi yapıyorlar. Enerji içeceğini şampanya şişesine doldurup patlatıyorlar, üstelik bir de insanların üzerine fışkırtıyorlar. Hem sahte, hem de sinir bozucu.
Sonuç olarak, nakit verirseniz pazarlık payı var; kartla ödeme yaparsanız fazla ücret ödüyorsunuz. Bu serbest piyasa saçmalığının denetlenmesi gerektiği çok açık. Yoksa karaborsa mantığıyla uçmaya devam edeceğiz!

I have never been so humiliated by a company in my life. They lie and hustle you for money! BAD BUSINESS!
I arrived at the ballon site with my tour group around 6:05am. I patiently waited my turn to get into the basket, each time being picked over for other members to enter before me. They loaded the larger groups first, but when it came time to let on solo groups, I NEVER had the opportunity to get on. I was then told the balloon was at max capacity to fly, that there is no room for me. I was at one point gaslit being told my reservation is for tomorrow, when my name was very clearly on their list to fly that day. This was a very humiliating experience for me to go through. I was the only person not able to enjoy the balloon ride experience this day. At 6:40, I was approached by the balloon operator who told me “Sir I am sorry we are full and can’t take anymore people”. I asked if I could get my money back and he said “yes, just talk to their agency”. At 6:45, the ballon took off as I watched from the ground. I understand safety is an important factor, so I did not press the issue further in this moment.
Hours later, their company tells my booking agent that I did in fact get in the balloon, but I was too scared and exited the balloon myself. Therefore I cancelled, and they want their money. I have never gone through a more terrible experience, the lies from this company has made me angry, but I will not let them break me. Stay away from this company! Çok sinirliyim, yalan söyleyen insanlar!

Abbiamo prenotato con get your guide il giro in mongolfiera per agosto per 150€, ci sono venuti a prendere alle 4.30 e siamo andati sul punto di partenza . Abbiamo visto il montaggio e gonfiaggio della mongolfiera sorseggiando the caldo e mangiando un tortino al cioccolato. Ci hanno fornito acqua per il viaggio durato circa 45/50 minuti da momento della partenza a quell dell’atterraggio. Paesaggi mozzafiato nonostante ci fosse leggermente nuvoloso. Alla fine del giro ci hanno fornito un succo d’uva e l’attestato di volo! Ero scettica sul giro in mongolfiera ma posso dire che ne vale la pena!
Personale gentile e qualificato
A hot air balloon ride was at the top of the must-do list for my boyfriend and I when we were on holiday in Cappadocia. Everything went so smoothly from the start - they sent a shuttle to our hotel in the morning to pick us up, once we got to the field we were taking off from, there were light snacks and drinks provided for everyone. Once in the basket, we were given a safety briefing and shortly after that started to lift up into the sky. Our pilot Zeki was incredible! The way he could get us so close to rocks and hills without touching them was quite impressive. He even got close enough for my boyfriend to pick a few apricots from a tree while in flight. My only complaint is that my boyfriend and I couldn't be in the same segment of the basket together which didn't ruin the experience but would've been better for us to be able to get some photos together. Once we landed, we had a non-alcoholic champagne toast with everyone and were shuttled back to our hotels just in time for an early breakfast. We strongly considered doing this again the following morning but decided to watch the balloons from our hotel the next morning instead which was also a beautiful sight to see.
I would strongly recommend doing a hot air balloon, but likely better to join with a different company (or perhaps this company offers different packages?).
We were not aware when booking, but there are two takeoff points; the first is near the open air museum and the other is a bit further out of Goreme. We took off from the second location. This location takes off after first light which helps if you want to sleep a little later, but you miss the ballon flamethrowers in the dark. However, the main issue with this location is that you don’t travel over Goreme (assuming favorable wind conditions) like the balloons that take off from near the open air museum.
On the plus side, the captains were very skilled and the pickup was punctual.
One other negative, we were the last ballon to take off and one of the earlier ones to land. The ballon next to us (EVA AIR) had a much longer flight.
