Super activité. On a été accueilli comme des reines, nous avons appris plein de choses sur l'art de l'Ebru et nous avons réalisé plein de magnifiques peintures alors que nous n'avions aucune expérience artistique. Prix un peu cher (55€ pour 2 bonnes heures) mais, si vous le pouvez, je vous recommande chaudement cette activité ici ! En anglais mais le monsieur parle un peu français. Nous sommes enchantées de cette expérience.

This was so much fun. Betel is a master ebru and tile artist. She was so knowledgeable and kind. She spent a lot of time teaching me and my 6yo daughter the different techniques and guiding us as we made our own Ebru marbling art. The studio is also in a beautiful location. Such a fantastic activity and you come away with a unique, self-made souvenir. My daughter absolutely loved every second and was so proud of what she made!

My girlfriend and I visited Istanbul in June of 2025 and wanted to experience Turkish marbling. Betul and Ali were incredibly warm, welcoming, accommodating and excellent instructors. They paitently taught the techniques and allowed us to make our own wonderful art. The painting technique is truly relaxing and Ali and Betul were such a joy to work with. Thank you so much for such a great experience.

My husband and I, along with our 2 kids (ages 8 and 10) did the Ebru art class in early Jan 2026. Everything was great! The class was 2 hours long and the whole family loved every minute of it! The teachers were kind, instructive and made it fun for the whole family. This was one of our favorite things we did in Istanbul!

Great shop and amazing experience at the workshop as well! Betul is a very patient instructor, everyone at the studio is very friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. I was painting a tile and it was such a pleasant meditative time, I only wish I had more time to come here again. I will definitely attend another workshop next time I’m in Istanbul

Atelier et boutique d'arts traditionnels turcs authentique et très accueillante. J'ai réservé par whatsapp un workshop d'Ebru (papier marbré) pour deux personnes. Betul (dipômée en arts trucs) était très réactive et nous a organisé un atelier sur-mesure. Le prix correspond tout à fait à la qualité de l'atelier, environ deux heures. Betul nous a fait faire 5 planches chacunes. L'atelier commence par des motifs classiques puis, Betul nous apprend à faire des motifs plus élaborés comme une tulipe ou même un arbre ! L'atelier était en anglais, il se déroule au derier étage de la maison / boutique de la famille. J'insite sur l'authenticité des lieux et la qualité de la prestation ! Je recommande chaleureusement :)

I only have words of praise for this place. I came spontaneously and asked for a bookbinding workshop. Was told to come back in an hour until the teacher arrives. She came only for me. I was alone for the workshop and felt welcome and safe. I was offered tea and water and enjoyed a beautiful view. The first part of the workshop was the ebru design for the leather done with the owner. The second part was the bookbinding itself done with the bookbinding teacher. Both felt like a true learning experience where I was doing most of the activity myself instead of just it being done for me like I had experienced in other workshops in Istanbul. I was also answered all questions and the methods were explained to me in detail by the two wonderful women. My notebook turned out amazing. Thank you!

What an enchanting place, a gorgeous seaside location, captivating views and a cozy home like atmosphere for learning. I have been studying ebru painting in Istanbul for many years and this was my first experience at this school for traditional Turkish arts. My teacher-Sophia, was so kind and professional with her instruction and very patient with me through out the process. I created a leather bound journal that is absolutely beautiful. I am so pleased with the results and my experience was one I would enjoy doing again and again. I highly recommend coming to TurkishArts for a class. The studio is easy to get to, a short walk from Sultanahmet Square.

My 8 year old daughter and I took marbling workshops at Turkish Arts today and we both had a blast. My daughter took the marbling paper class, where she learned several techniques and then got to create her own marbled paper with beautiful designs of flowers, trees, hearts and more. It was so fun to watch her explore a new medium and draw with paints on the water. Highly recommended for kids and adults alike. And while my daughter was marbling paper, I marbled leather which I turned into the cover of a journal that I learned out to bind. The teachers were warm and knowledgeable, the experience was interesting and we left with lovely handmade paper and a jornal and the location was beautiful - def go check out the view from the rooftop. Overall highly recommended for a fun activity to do in Istanbul.

Lo hice para acompañar a mi mujer que es la pintora de casa y ahora me encuentro buscando material para hacerlo en mi estudio de música! ¿Que está pasando aquí? Me enamore de la técnica, de ese precioso taller, de esa terraza con esa increíble parra, un çay calentito y sobre todo de la calidez humana de Betul, Ali y Sofía... Que grandes maestros! Aprendimos distintas técnicas de Ebru a usar las herramientas, como y de que están hechas...Muchas gracias!! Una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. Sin duda en la segunda vuelta a Estambul volveremos a ver qué nos enseñan ️️️

We happened to come across Turkish arts by chance and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Istanbul. We even went back for the second time to do leather book binding with marble arts as well as ceramic tile painting. The staff and everyone in this family owned business were extremely welcoming, helpful and very generous. I couldn’t recommend a better place to go to! Definitely worth the visit and I’ll be sure to go back on my next trip to Istanbul!
