It has a single fargon going up and down, and it's a good way to reach istiklal Street from Karaköy area .. The inlet of this station called (tünel) is about 50 meters from Karaköy tramway station.. It makes u feel back years It is worth it to use it..

17 Ocak 1875 açılış tarihi. Tarihi bir mekan ve ilklerden.... Total yolculuk 1,7 dakika dakika sürüyor takribi. İki durak arası " Beyoğlu - Karaköy" yıllar boyunca gidip geliyor bu ring hattı. Londra metrosundan sonra dünyanın en eski ikinci, ülkemizin de ilk yer altı raylı toplu taşıması. Çalışma saatleri 07.00 - 22.45 Günlük ortalama 300 sefer yapıyor.

The Tünel (English: Tunnel, designated as the F2 line on the Istanbul transport map[1]) is a historic, underground, rubber-tyred funicular line in Istanbul, Turkey. It has two stations, connecting Karaköy and Beyoğlu. The tunnel runs uphill from near the confluence of the Golden Horn with the Bosphorus and is about 573 metres (1,880 feet) long.[2] Inaugurated on 17 January, 1875,[2] the Tünel is the second-oldest fully underground urban railway in the world, after the London Underground (1863) and oldest in continental Europe, pre-dating the Budapest Metro by 21 years.

This subway tunnel is the second oldest in the world. The tunnel has two stations; one up on Istiklal Street and the other one down in Karakoy. The tunnel isn’t that long but it goes up and down a hill. The tunnel car is also very small. It is worth the ride.
