Service should be more frequent. This place is a key point to go anywhere either to north or south, close to the sea. Bus stops both ways are about 50 meters. The first port in the Anadolu Hisari was built be tween the years 1851-1854 in the narrowest part of the Bosporus right in front of the Rumeli Hisar in a place called Hisarönü. The port was demolished in the year of 1905 to be rebuilt of hardwood in its cur rent location. This port is similar to the previous port and consists of three parts. The berth of this port had a length of 21 meters and a width of 8 meters. The three rooms of the port was divided as the ticket hall, the employee room right next to it and the pas senger waiting hall. The waiting hall was divided in two separate rooms one for men and the other for women during the Ottoman Empire's rule. Later when the Turkish Republic was established this implementa tion has come to an end and the hall was united as one. The long serving port was reconstructed in concrete with a hardwood cover in 1989. When the port was de livered in the surveillance of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality it was renovated in 2006 and has taken its current form.
