I had an amazing rhinoplasty experience with Dr. Cem Altindag and his entire team. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The hotel arrangements and shuttle transportation were very well organized, which made the whole process completely stress free.
If you’re on the fence or 50/50 about getting rhinoplasty, I genuinely recommend getting it done here! It was absolutely worth it. The experience was perfect from beginning to end. Communication was excellent, the support was great, and the entire team was professional, friendly, and supportive throughout the process.

Honest Review of My Rhinoplasty Experience with Cem Altindag
I’m sharing this review to help future patients make an informed decision.
Initially, everything looked professional. I booked the surgery through Bookimed, the ratings were high, and communication via Telegram (Bookimed) and WhatsApp (clinic) was smooth. However, once I arrived in Turkey, serious concerns started.
On the morning of surgery, I was taken to a hospital that had never been clearly disclosed beforehand. I had no prior information about this clinic from either Bookimed or the clinic itself, which was stressful on the surgery day.
I met the doctor for the first time just minutes before surgery. He briefly examined my nose and said, “Don’t expect an ideal result.” This was alarming, especially since I had previously been shown a 3D simulation of the expected outcome. I wasn’t expecting perfection, but I expected something close to what was presented.
The surgery process felt unsettling. I was taken to a very cold underground floor with many people around (likely interns), and I did not see the surgeon again until I was already being sedated, which caused serious anxiety.
Waking up from anesthesia was the worst sedation experience I’ve had: intense shaking, trembling, and feeling extremely cold for about 40 minutes, with no proper post-op comfort.
The swelling afterward was extreme—far worse than what I observed in other rhinoplasty patients staying at the same hotel. My face was heavily bruised and swollen.
After the casts were removed, the result was far from the 3D model. Eventually, my nose looked almost identical to how it looked before surgery. The doctor repeatedly insisted it was “just swelling” and would go away.
It didn’t.
Nearly a year later, a CT scan showed misaligned nasal bones and bone overgrowth, confirming this was a structural issue, not swelling.
Main issues:
The hospital was not clearly disclosed beforehand
Minimal pre-op communication; doctor appeared only minutes before surgery
Abnormally severe swelling
Final result: no visible improvement, and even a new hump appeared
The doctor never acknowledged responsibility and gave false reassurance
About a year later, I was offered a revision surgery for $700 (clinic fees only).
As of January 2026, over a year after surgery, my nose looks essentially the same as before (if not worse).
My surgery was performed by Dr. Cem Altindag. Based on my experience and outcome, the quality was objectively poor. I’m sharing this to help others avoid the same disappointment.

Хочу написать отзыв о великолепном враче Джема Алтындага,его ассистентки Джерен и The Nose Aesthetic Clinic.Сегодня шестой день после операции,и я просто счастлива увидеть себя в новой версии.Начиная с приезда в Стамбул,Джерен была всегда на связи,решала все вопросы и никогда ни в чем не отказывала.Отвлекусь от своего носа) со мной прилетел сын.и ему нужна была стомат клиника,,Джерен организовала трансфер и мы в стоматклинике решили все свои вопросы,в чем опять мы ей благодарны,это говорит о прекрасном отношение к пациентам!
В день операции Доктор Джем провел консультацию,все объяснил.что операция будет не легкой,я все приняла и надеялась на его золотые руки,И это правда,его профессионализм и опыт в сфере пластики носа на высшем уровне.Также хочу отметить медсестру Афру,которая за минуту смогла найти мне вену и вставить катетер,к сожалению после химиотерапии,вен почти нет и это всегда была проблема,но здесь она была на высоте.Спасибо Афра,ты умничка.
Послеоперационный период был не легким,в первые два дня,но опять же благодаря врачу Джему и Джерен ,мы были связи и осмотры прошли онлайн.
Также хочу написать о международной платформе Bookimed.com,и конечно координатору Стасу,который вел меня почти год к моему желанию,сделать септоренопластику носа в клинике Стамбула.Благодарна,что Стас мне посоветовал этого врача и занимался всеми моими вопросами .Спасибо,за то.что Вы есть.

It’s been almost three months since my surgery, and I’m happy with both the shape of my nose and how it’s healing. It looks natural and fits my face well. My deviated septum has been corrected, which has made breathing easier and more comfortable. Overall, the recovery process has been smooth, and I’m pleased with the results so far.

Nachwievor handelt es sich leider um Betrüger, Finger weg! Nachdem man mir mehr Geld abgezogen hat und meine Nase genauso schief wie vorher lies, sagte man mir es würde ja 1 Jahr dauern, bis man das Endresultat sehen würde. Nach 1 Jahr war meine Nase natürlich weiterhin schief und komischerweise antwortet keiner mehr. Ich möchte mein Geld zurück!

I underwent endoscopic septoplasty with Dr. Cem. The entire experience was excellent – the doctor and his team were highly professional, and I am very satisfied with the results (it has been 2.5 weeks, and everything seems great so far).
The staff were friendly and attentive, and the clinic provided a seamless service, including airport transfer, transfer to the bus station, and an additional night at the hotel.
I am grateful for their professionalism and excellent care.
I was well looked after by Dr Cem and his team, very kind and lovely people. They were considerate and supportive with me, as I was slightly apprehensive and nervous. Very happy with the result, so glad I went through with it. Dr Cem also applied electrocautery to my turbinates to help with my breathing, absolute legend and great clinician.

I've just got back to the UK having had rhinoplasty with Dr Altindag. From start to finish the experience was outstanding and I am very happy with the result. Just what I had hoped for. Dr Cem is clearly a very experienced surgeon in his field and made me feel relaxed and at ease throughout. Also his team helped me alot including Jeren whenever I reached out with questions, however silly they may have sounded ️
An overall lovely time and experience in Istanbul and I would and have highly recommend this clinic. 5*

Do not use this doctor for your rhinoplasty!!
He does not listen to what you want from the operation even when agreeing to do the work in writing beforehand and being paid handsomely for it!!
He changes the things about your nose that you specifically asked him not to touch and yet will not do the things that you want doing and that he agreed to in writing and was paid to do!!
I am left with a nose that looks worse than before the this revision op.
I also no cannot breathe through my nose still despite being over 3 months since the op and am left with lumpy cartliage on the right side bridge of my nose and suspected V-deformity and a droopy tip. Before my operation my tip was lifted and I asked him not to touch this. Now it is droopy and looks as if my columella is retracting.
You will be gaslit by his assistant Mohammed who will come up with any excuse rather than admit that Dr Altindag did not do the work that you asked for, was agreed in writing and that you paid for!!
I feel so depressed about my nose now and wish I had left it alone after my 1st op as I preferred that better!!
It was a revision op that was supposed to decrease the bridge width and tidy up my nostrils....and specifically KEEP the tip rotated up as it was. NEITHER the bridge nor the nostrils were touched during the op only the area that I said to leave!! Make that make sense!?
He does what he wants during the op and will not take account of correcting the result.
There are so many rhinoplasty Dr's in Istanbul who WILL listen to what you want and WILL keep to their word and do the work that they quoted!
Steer clear of this Dr if you actually want to get the results that you request!
