Coming from Zimbabwe, where opportunities for hands-on aesthetic surgery training are rare, I consider it a true honour to have been mentored by Dr. Akin Yücel through the ISAPS Mentorship Programme.

I have had the privilege of undergoing multiple surgeries with the incredibly talented Prof. Dr. Akin, and I cannot recommend him enough. My first experience with him was in 2004 when he performed a whole-body liposuction and breast implant surgery under the muscle, which took a total of 5.5 hours. The results were flawless, and there were absolutely no complications. I was so impressed by his skill, professionalism, and attention to details so I returned for additional procedures later on.
