Ottoman Galata Port Hammam

Not recommended. I booked a massage the day before, and on the day of the appointment they told me they have overbooked. There is absolutely no organization. The jacuzzi is freezing (around 20°C), the sauna is barely warm (about 40–50°C), and the steam bath doesn’t work for most of the day. When you ask for it to be turned on, it feels like you’re asking for a personal favor rather than a service you’ve paid for. The hotel itself is very nice, but honestly, it would be better if they closed the spa area until they are able to manage it properly.

I had really high hopes for this spa, but unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The whole experience felt very unprofessional from start to finish. The massage was significantly shorter than what I had booked and paid for, and to make things worse, the masseurs asked for extra money afterward, which felt very pushy and inappropriate. The cleanliness was also questionable — I noticed hair, which made me uncomfortable and question the hygiene standards. Overall, it felt rushed, awkward, and far from relaxing. Definitely not worth the money. What’s even more disappointing is that our first review, where we honestly described our experience, was removed. That says a lot about how they handle criticism.

The place is small and charming. They have a couple of steam rooms, a hamam, a pool, and massage rooms. The staff is very friendly and professional, especially İsmail, who assisted me with a last-minute request and helped me choose the right package for my needs.
