I fortunately came across Dr. Mesut while researching orthopedic surgeons in Antalya after suffering a severe heel fracture in the United States. From the beginning, I was uneasy with the treatment plan proposed by my U.S. surgeon. After more than a year of being told that it was simply a “bad break” that would take time to heal, it was finally discovered that I had also severely sprained my ankle at the time of the injury, resulting in partial ligament and tendon tears that had been missed entirely.
When these tears were eventually identified, the solution I was given was ankle fusion surgery, an option that would have permanently limited my mobility. This did not sit right with me.
While in Antalya for my spouse's dental care, I had the opportunity to consult with Dr. Mesut at MSM Klinik. His team quickly arranged comprehensive testing to fully understand what was happening with my foot. Dr. Mesut confirmed the ligament and tendon damage but was very clear that ankle fusion was not the appropriate solution for my case. Through my time there, it was clear to me that he treats a wide range of complex orthopedic conditions, not just ankle cases, which gave me even more confidence in his overall experience. From our first conversation, I felt confident in his expertise. He immediately recognized the complexity of my injury, especially given that my foot had healed incorrectly over the course of more than a year and a half.
After returning to the U.S. and doing further research, I made the decision to go back to Antalya and proceed with surgery under Dr. Mesut’s care. One of the major factors in my decision was his use of stem cell therapy, an option that was never even discussed by my doctors in the United States.
From start to finish, the level of professionalism and compassion at MSM Klinik was exceptional. Everyone in the office was attentive, organized, and supportive. Eli was especially wonderful, managing all logistics and providing clear translation throughout the entire process, which made everything seamless and stress free. During my stay, I also received IV vitamin and supportive therapies at the office designed to aid healing and speed recovery.
I am now just 2.5 weeks post surgery and already able to walk at approximately 50% weight bearing. In the U.S., I would have been non-weight bearing for at least two months before even beginning this stage. My recovery has been faster and smoother than I ever expected, and everything is healing remarkably well.
Traveling to Turkey, especially Antalya, the Turkish Riviera was an incredible experience in itself. Even when factoring in airfare and accommodations, the total cost of surgery was a fraction of what it would have been in the United States with much better results.

MSM Klinik - Hervorragend in Beratung und Umsetzung
Nach etlichen Operation in Deutschland bin ich zufällig auf diesen Arzt gestoßen.
Ich habe Anfang 2024 meine Profi Karriere im Kampfsport beendet und wie es kommen sollte, kamen jegliche körperliche Probleme gleich mit sich.
Nach gesamt 3 Operationen, einmal an der li Schulter und jeweils an den Ellenbogen, kam nichts nach Reha-Maßnahmen zu Gute.
Konservative Behandlung und Operation verlief gut, jedoch ohne schmerzfreie Ergebnise.
Die Schmerzen und die
Bewegungs-Einschränkungen ließen nicht los, so dass sogar das nächtliche Schlafen, in völliger Ruhe immer unruhiger wurden und täglich mit Schmerzen geprägt waren.
Nach einem kurzen whatsapp Austausch im Urlaub erhielten wir direkt einen Termin am folgenden Tag. Eine kleine Praxis die es in sich hat, vom Empfang bis zum Arztgespräch.
Nach einer präzisen Anamnese-Verzeichnis machte der Arzt ein Bild und verwies uns ins Krankenhaus zum Röntgen und MRT.
Keine 30 min später war alles fertig und ohne großartige Wartezeit.
Beim Arzt angekommen wurde alles bildlich dargestellt.
Nach einem Aufklärungsgespräch wurde mir eine Therapie aus Stammzellen, ACP und Steoride auf Injektionverfahren angeboten.
Da ich schon etliches hinter mir hatte, erhoffte ich mir kaum was und stimmte zu.
Ungelogen, keine 10 min später wurden die Schmerzen drastisch reduziert.
Dennoch hatte ich immer noch meine Zweifel und wartete erstmal die Nacht über ab und die Tage darauf.
Es wurde immer besser und besser und mein Schlaf wurde nach Monaten wieder normalisiert und komplett schmerzfrei.
Nach 4 Wochen genau kann ich jetzt sagen, der Artz hatte mit seiner Prognose und seinem Vorgehen recht und ich bin zu 80 % aktiver und lebhafter, so dass ein positiver und teils komplett schmerzfreier Alltagsablauf gewährleistet ist.
Daher ist ein Besuch für mich, desöffteres mal kurz in die Türkei zu fliegen unerlässlich, so dass mein nächster Termin schon Mitte Feb 2026 geplant ist.
Ich danke den ganzen Team und vor allem sehr dem Op. Dr. Mesut Sançmış, für seine Zeit ( und die nimmt er sich ), seine Geduld und sein Einfühlungsvermögen.

Arkadaşlarımla voleybol oynarken omzumda çok ciddi bir yanma ve acı hissettim bir süre de ağrım geçmedi yaklaşık bir hafta kadar kolumu da kaldıramadım o yüzden korkmuştum baya bir şey oldu diye. Mesut hocaya da bir yakınımız tavsiyesiyle geldim. Daha 22 yaşında olduğum için biraz korktum ama kendisi benimle çok ilgilendi ve beni çok rahatlattı genç olduğum için ameliyatsız atlatabileceğimi söyleyip iyileşme süreci için enjeksiyon yapmayı düşündük. Do not recommend this place at all!!!! My father in law and mother in law came here whilst we were on holiday in turkey during June they thought it would be good to get some help from the orthopaedics, my father in law has been suffering with immense foot pain which has caused him to struggle with walking and my mother in law has been having lots of knee pain. Once they got there they had checked them both and had told them that they needed to have injections which consisted of collagen and stem cells as well as hyaluronic acid. Whilst my father in Law and mother in law were receiving their treatment one of the staff members had specially come up to both me and my sister in law and asked us to give them 5 star reviews, at the time we thought this was a good clinic worthy of five stars however now we realised that we had been fooled if I could give this star 0 reviews I would. My father in law spent thousands for the injections only for them to not last and for the pain to persist. My father in laws foot has been swelling and he has been in a lot of pain where he is struggling to walk and has been trying all sorts to help ease the situation and my mother in law is still getting pain in her knees and neck. They contacted the clinic afterwards to ask them about what to do but they told them to come back to turkey to get more help but it’s is not that easy or cheap to get up and fly to turkey. They had claimed that the injections will be long lasting however this was not the case. My father in law has been contacting them for so long but they had not been replying, however they recently had a FaceTime call where my father in law was detailing the pain in his foot but all they could care about was why my father in law had left a bad review and kept asking why and to take it down. They also claimed that they had told both my father and mother in law that the treatment was supposed to last a month which was not true as if that was the case they would not have spent that amount of money for that treatment. Ever since then they are still neglecting to reply to my father in law it is clear where their interests lie not with their patients but with how many good reviews they can gather. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the good reviews as we were, this has caused more trouble and pain for both my mother in law and father in law than treatment.
