I had an amazing experience during the course. It was challenging at times, but also incredibly rewarding. The tutors created such a supportive and encouraging environment that even when I doubted myself, they helped me keep going. As a relatively new teacher, I sometimes felt nervous, but I was always guided in the right direction. Ali and Narges were extremely patient, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the whole process. Their feedback was always constructive and helped me grow step by step. Thank you IH İzmir! I’ve learned so much and I am truly grateful for this Celta journey.

Those four weeks have been one of the most intense and rewarding experiences of my professional life. I truly don’t think I could have passed without the kindness and support of the IH Izmir staff, the constant guidance and care of our dedicated tutors, and the strong sense of trust and friendship we built as a group of ten trainees.

All the people working there, especially teachers, are friendly, hardworking, and responsible. The facilities are good and sufficient for educating people and training teachers.

I enjoyed my CELTA course, even though it was hard and demanding. The tutors were really helpful and supportive. My groupmates helped a lot, we learned from each other immensely. Input and feedback sessions were well-thought and deep. The only recommendation to the centre: when students subscribe for online lessons, they need to be warned about the necessity to work on Zoom. The centre might provide them with a short tutorial or at least share a youtube link with such a tutorial. We ended up teaching our students how to use zoom chat, losing precious teaching time.

The CELTA course was an intense yet highly rewarding professional journey. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me reflect deeply on my teaching practices. Through lesson planning, teaching practice, and continuous feedback, I became more aware of the importance of clear aims, effective staging, and learner-centered lessons. I learned how to manage time better, give clear instructions, and anticipate learner difficulties. Although the workload was demanding and sometimes overwhelming, the support from tutors and peers helped me grow both personally and professionally. The reflective process taught me to view challenges as learning opportunities. Overall, CELTA has strengthened my confidence as a teacher, sharpened my classroom skills, and reshaped my understanding of effective language teaching.

Had a good month here taking on the CELTA course. The staff are lovely and supportive throughout. The facilities and teaching equipment provided are of high standard and allow you the space to be creative.

I had such a great time. Honestly, what an experience! Everyone there was so kind, patient, and supportive that even on my most “I-can’t-do-this” days, they somehow made me believe I could. The course was super intensive — like, coffee became my best friend for a while — but the atmosphere was calm, friendly, and full of positive vibes; it felt like we were all in this together. Despite all the stress and intensity of the CELTA course — which is just part of its nature — and all the pressure CCQs put on me, I learned so much and still managed to smile a lot. It was totally worth it! Big thanks to the whole team — you guys are amazing!

The International House in Izmir was a hostpitable center. You feel like home as everyone in the house is willing to serve you. The training was truly instrumental and fruitful. Also, the trainers were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place for teachers who are aiming to do CELTA.
