Stepping off at Çemberlitaş Tram Stop feels like stepping into history. Right beside the station stands the Column of Constantine, a 4th-century monument marking the founding of Constantinople. Its weathered porphyry stone and iron hoops tell stories of Roman glory, fires, and centuries of change.
From here, you’re only minutes away from the Grand Bazaar, with the elegant Nuruosmaniye Mosque in view just behind the column. It’s a perfect spot to soak in Istanbul’s layered history while still being in the heart of a lively shopping and sightseeing area.

Be careful around cemberlitas. Be aware shoe shinning scam and fake perfume sellers on the streets of cemberlitas. Do not stop and just keep moving on.

Achtung, den ÖPNV in Istanbul mit der Karte finde ich gut, aber..... aufpassen, da man als Tourist nicht gleich bescheid weiß mit den Automaten, sind auf einmal auf wundersame Weise junge nette Männer behilflich, die Dir eine Karte ( 500 TL Guthgaben + 70 TL Kartenpreis) für satte 700 TL verkaufen..... Dies gilt zumindets für diesen Haltestellenpunkt in der Yeniceriler Cd. / Platz/Säule. Am Besten gar nicht erst mit den verhandeln, sprechen etc. Selber durchkämpfen, es geht auch nichts dabei schief. ;-)

I love these areas çemberlitaş and it's surroundings, I live in Istanbul and always come here.
