I am saddened to see such beautiful horses having to endure environments where sport appears to take precedence over their welfare. Having lived in this country for many years, I recognize that awareness of animal welfare and equine nutrition is still developing compared with Europe and the US etc.
What I witnessed at Antalya Padok, however, went beyond differences in standards. The horse, Marie, was in severely compromised condition. We attempted to intervene and explored the possibility of rehoming her, but the owner chose pride and money over the welfare of Marie. She had a body condition score of approximately 1.5 out of 5 and was close to organ failure, there is no acceptable justification for a horse reaching such a state.
After days of trying to find a solution for the horse, the authorities were contacted and the horse was finally humanely euthanized. She was only 19 years old. These pictures will forever haunt me.

Had a great morning today walking in the forest and spending time with horses, dogs and felt as a special guest at this family-owned horse stable. Already coming back in 2 days and recommending to friends. Thank you very much for such a special day ️

I’ve been riding here for around three months now.
The place is family owned with approximately 8 horses. They aren’t treated as lesson horses but instead pets, which is why they’re so well cared for. The owners value their horses, they’re well fed, groomed, talented and enjoy spending time with humans. Their horses aren’t run down and in pain, like the horses in any major barn in Antalya.
The owners Mrs Dilara & Mr Tolga are extremely nice and polite people. They’re very modern, and very friendly. They consistently offer drinks & food and are great people to converse with. I haven’t been asked any rude questions about if i want to buy a horse from them or anything in that sense. They genuinely want whats best for you & that so rare to see these days.
Their barn has big clean stalls, the horses spend the day outside in pastures routinely and are stalled at night. I’m pretty sure this is the only barn in Antalya that takes care of their horses so well. They have a mid size arena that has nice footing, and are close to the forest. They do offer safari rides to anyone interested.
Mrs Dilara herself has competed and her students do so as well. She’s an instructor who can fairly assess a student and is willing to teach the ‘hard’ route (learning the boring stuff like balance and rhythm) so her students can excel at the exciting stuff like jumping heights.
If you’re tired of seeing students being forced on suffering horses and jumping when they cant even sit a trot, then this is definitely the place for you.
If you’re tired of dealing with spoiled instructors yelling at their students at every chance and (just honestly) scamming them, this is the place for you.
I’ve been to almost every riding club in this city, Padok Club was genuinely my last chance or i was gonna quit and im lucky enough to say that an understanding instructor with great horses and a great facility has ignited my passion for riding again. (I’ve also obviously gotten better)
So far i’d say the only con is that it’s very far away from the city. But it’s worth it :-) come say hi!
Antalya Padok Atlı Spor Kulübü’nü bugün eşim ve iki çocuğumla ziyaret ettik, ve kesinlikle harika bir deneyimdi. İşletmenin sahibi Dilara Hanım, misafirperverliği ve içten ilgisiyle bizi karşıladı. Her biri ayrı bir sevgiyle bakılan yaklaşık 10 atın bulunduğu bu tesiste, Dilara Hanım bize atların isimlerinden cinslerine kadar tüm detayları özenle anlattı. Tesis oldukça yeni ve modern, atlar ise son derece bakımlı ve sağlıklıydı. Çocuklarım için unutulmaz bir deneyim oldu; Dilara Hanım çocuklarımı atlarla gezdirirken onların mutluluğu yüzlerinden okunuyordu.
Dilara Hanım’ın, atlarına olan sevgisi ve ilgisi her halinden belliydi. Aynı zamanda eşi Tolga Bey ile de tanışma fırsatımız oldu; kendisi de oldukça beyefendi ve ilgili biriydi. Tesisin huzur veren doğası, şehrin hemen yanı başında olmasına rağmen size şehrin gürültüsünden uzak, sakin ve rahatlatıcı bir çiftlik atmosferi sunuyor. Doğanın içinde olmanın verdiği bu huzur, insanı adeta stresten arındırıyor.
Ziyaretimizin sonunda Dilara Hanım ve Tolga Bey ile hoş bir sohbet eşliğinde çay ve Türk kahvesi içtik. İkramlar son derece samimi ve sıcak bir ortamda sunuldu. Burada geçirdiğimiz her an mükemmeldi, bu deneyimi kesinlikle tekrar yaşamak istiyoruz. Tüm bu güzelliklerin yanı sıra çocuklar için güvenli ve eğitici bir ortam sunan tesis, ailecek keyifli bir gün geçirmeniz için mükemmel bir tercih. En kısa zamanda tekrar ziyaret etmeyi sabırsızlıkla bekliyoruz!
Antalya Padok Atlı Spor Kulübü’nü gönülden tavsiye ederim; doğayla iç içe, huzurlu bir ortamda keyifli vakit geçirmek isteyen herkes için harika bir deneyim sunuyor.
Ayrıca, işletmenin bir de Şaşa adında minik bir Chihuahua köpeği var. Şaşa da en az atlar kadar tatlı ve sevimli. Çocuklarım Şaşa ile vakit geçirmeye bayıldı, o da bu sıcak ve samimi ortamın bir parçası. Bu küçük dost ile tanışmak da hayvan severler için ayrı bir keyif olacak
