The German Fountain is in Sultanahmet Square and It may not be as massive as the nearby landmarks, but it stands out with its beautiful neo-Byzantine design and detailed interior mosaics. There’s something refined and almost understated about it. When you look up at the golden mosaics inside the dome, you notice the craftsmanship immediately. It’s a small structure, yet it carries historical significance and adds character to the square. Definitely worth taking a moment to admire while exploring Sultanahmet, sometimes the smaller monuments leave a lasting impression.
