Nice island wish I had more days to stay. Ferries are not very frequent. The last one is at 15.30 leaving for Istanbul
Nice trip by by big boat will cost 100 Turkish currency each go/retuen. The boat washroom is not clean. However was nice experience you will visit 3 island. Last island you will be to visit and walk. It is huge which you need a golf car or other fast transport. There is many coffee and restaurants.
Very busy
Şehrin gürültü ve yoğunluğundan kaçışın en kısa yolu.
Uno de mis viajes mas interesantes, para mi boda y honey moon, estambul es una ciudad hermosa. Estambul me gusto tanto que e ido 2 veces.
The ferry ride to Adalar, commonly known as the Princes’ Islands, is one of the most delightful day trips from Istanbul. Located in the Sea of Marmara, this chain of nine islands is just a short ferry ride away from the bustling city, offering a peaceful escape from Istanbul’s fast-paced life.
The ferry experience itself is a highlight, giving passengers stunning views of the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul’s iconic skyline, and the endless blue of the surrounding waters. The trip takes around an hour and a half, depending on which island you visit, and allows ample time to relax and enjoy the gentle sea breeze. As you pass by famous landmarks like Topkapi Palace, the Maiden’s Tower, and the Dolmabahçe Palace, the scenery becomes even more captivating.
The islands themselves are car-free, making them a serene destination filled with charming streets, traditional Ottoman-style houses, and lush pine forests. Büyükada, the largest and most popular of the Princes’ Islands, is particularly known for its beautiful beaches and historical sites, including the famous Aya Yorgi Church on a hilltop, which offers panoramic views after a rewarding hike.
Many visitors choose to explore the islands by bike or horse-drawn carriage, adding to the charm of the experience. The ferry offers both an enjoyable ride and a gateway to a slower, more relaxed pace of life compared to the mainland.
Whether you’re a local looking for a quick getaway or a tourist in search of a different side of Istanbul, the Princes’ Islands ferry ride is a refreshing journey that combines natural beauty, tranquility, and a taste of Turkey’s rich maritime culture. The ferry itself is affordable and well-organized, making it an essential part of any visit to Istanbul.
Asked the guy for help because we were looking for the Istanbul public transport ferry. When he realised we don't want to buy his service he said that he didn't know anything about the public ferry (he obviously did). Childish and disgusting behavior.
